A film version of "Draupadi Unleashed," based on the novel by Nisha Sabharwal, who also co-director, debuts in eight US cities later this month, according to a news release by Jingo Media.

The period-piece romance set in 1930s British India, written and co-directed by Tony Stopperan, is the story of a 16-year-old girl, Indira, who must choose between her duty to follow through on an arranged marriage and her true love.

"In a story that mixes magical realism and gorgeous surroundings with the harsh realities of a patriarchal society, this beautifully-told tale of a young woman at a crossroads in her life offers a rare look at aristocratic Indian society in the early part of the 20th Century – one that will resonate with audiences today," according to the film's promotional materials.

The cast includes Salena Qureshi, Dominic Rains, Cas Anvar, Anna George, Azita Ghanizada, Melanie Chandra, Paras Patel, Pooja Batra, Taaha Shah Badusha, and Abi Bais.

JANUARY 31 : Pooja Batra, who starred in films like Virasat, Bhai, Vishwavidhaata, and others, is away from Bollywood films for quite some time now. However, the former actress makes it a point to keep in touch with her fans through social media.

Taking to her Instagram handle, the Virasat actress shared a stunning picture with hubby Nawab Shah at the Venetian Resort, Las Vegas. Some time back, the couple attended the Golden Globes, and after the party, they chilled in California and enjoyed a vacation.

Pooja looked stunning in a golden shimmery sequinned sleeveless dress. The outfit featured a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit, flaunting her well-toned legs. The ABCD 2 actress styled her hair in soft waves, which the actor is usually seen opting for. She completed her look with smokey eyes and light brown glossy lip colour. Nawab Shah, on the other hand, looked dapper in a three-piece black suit.

Pooja Batra and Nawab Shah got married in Delhi in July 2019 in a private ceremony. Reports of their wedding surfaced when the actress was spotted wearing bridal choora. While Pooja was last seen in the 2017 psychological thriller Mirror Game directed by Vijit Sharma, Nawab Shah was recently featured in Dabangg 3.

However, she bought the car while she has been living in Los Angeles, which excludes her from paying the heavy import duty, like the others on the list. Her new Tesla Model 3 is the most affordable and the most popular car in the company's line-up and is registered in America itself. On a single charge, the Model 3 can travel up to 386 kms/hour on a single charge. It's top speed is capped at 200 kms and it can go from 0-100 within 5 seconds. This car also offers a huge infotainment system as well as an auto-pilot and self-park mode.

The couple, who attended this year's Golden Globes after party, extended their trip to a vacation of sorts and have been actively sharing pictures on social media. Pooja Batra and Nawab Shah received an invite to this year's Golden Globes after party. For the party, Pooja picked a traditional outfit. She wore a printed kurta with an extended train and paired with a pair of red churidars.

Pooja chose a high-neck kurta with a trail by Charu Parashar and her husband Nawab looked dapper in a classic tuxedo. Nawab shared a photograph of himself along with Sacha Baron Cohen and captioned it: "Dictator blues." While the former Miss India International shared a photograph of her look and wrote: "Thank you @hbo for an awesome evening @goldenglobes".

Pooja and Nawab confirmed their marriage in July last year. The two keep updating social media about each other. She is known for her roles in the nineties hits such as "Haseena Maan Jaayegi", "Nayak" and "Virasat".

Pooja and Nawab took to Instagram to share their Golden Globes experience. Dressed in a high-neck kurta with a trail, Pooja looked beautiful and was accompanied at the event by her husband in a classic tuxedo.

Pooja shared a photo of her look for the night, and wrote, "Thank you @hbo for an awesome evening @goldenglobes." Sharing an earlier photo, she wrote, "Going All Golden for the Globes." Nawab shared a photo with The Dictator actor Sacha Baron Cohen and wrote: "Dictator blues."

Pooja and Nawab got married in July this year in a quiet ceremony in Delhi. Nawab later said in an interview, "I proposed to her in front of my family. It wasn't planned at all and it just happened. It was overwhelming for the two of us. When you know he or she is the right person, you are excited and motivated to live life. I keep telling her that we have less time as we have to grow together and also have babies. We need to travel, we both love reading and writing, and as we say, 'Zindagi chotti hai' so why not do things that we like."

Pooja Batra was last seen in the film Mirror Game in 2017 while Nawab Shah recently appeared in Salman Khan's Dabangg 3.
